Lot Notes

"The Inner Light" was one of the most memorable episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation. A mysterious space probe zapped Captain Picard. In a heartbeat, he experienced the memories of a man from a far-off planet who died years ago when his planet's sun exploded. In those memories, he lived an entire lifetime, married and raising a family. He also learned to play a flute. When Picard woke up, he discovered that the alien probe had presented him with a single artifact from that long-dead civilization, the flute.
