A SEVRES GREEN-GROUND TWO-HANDLED BOWL, COVER AND STAND (ECUELLE RONDE TOURNEE ET PLATEAU OVALE 2EME GRANDEUR)
1765, STAND WITH BLUE INTERLACED LS ENCLOSING DATE LETTER M, PAINTER'S MUSICAL QUAVER MARK FOR CORNAILLES AND INCISED Jc (?) MARK, BOWL WITH INCISED DU AND CIRCLE MARK
Each piece reserved with four white panels, two lobed fan-shaped panels painted with bouquets within gilt palm frond cartouches alternating with two panels painted with pendant garlands in scalloped gilt band cartouches, the écuelle with entwined foliate handles enriched in gilding, the domed cover with a coloured olive branch handle with gilt berries, the écuelle and stand with gilt dentil rims, the cover with a gilt band rim (cover with minute chip to interior flange, stand with minute wear to centre and small section of footrim restuck)
The stand 8 7/8 in. (22.5 cm.) wide
