The Department of Indian & Southeast Asian Art is honored to present the sale of Masterpieces from the Zimmerman Family Collection in New York on 15 September 2008. The sale will include eight paintings and one gilt bronze from Nepal and Tibet. The Zimmerman Family Collection attests to the incredible richness in art and culture of the Himalayas. Each painting illustrates a moment in an otherwise timeless existence of powerful protectors, offering viewers a glimpse into the intricate pantheon of the Himalayan deities and a path by which they, too, can become enlightened.
