Christie’s is honoured to announce the sale of the Guy Laliberté collection of Arts of Africa on Wednesday 11 May in New York.

Exhibited during the marquee 20^th/21^st  Century week, this sale is a tribute to a pioneer in the world of performing arts and a true connoisseur. As well as being the founder of Le Cirque du Soleil, Lune Rouge and One Drop Foundation, his artistic sensibility and distinguished taste allowed him to build one of the most refined collections of African Art, which was exhibited in prestigious museum exhibitions in Europe and North America.

From rediscovered to historical masterwork, this collection is a celebration of the sculptural prowess, aesthetics and powerful creative genius of traditional artists from Africa.
