Christie’s Wine and Spirits Department in Hong Kong is delighted to kickstart our wine auctions this season with a live auction on 14 September – Finest and Rarest Wine & Spirits, offering global wine collectors an exciting opportunity to acquire a broad range of vinous treasures at the start of the Autumn season.
Highlights in the auction include an ultra rare collection of DRC late release of Romanée-Conti, La Tâche, Richebourg, Romanée-Saint-Vivant, Grands-Echézeaux and Echézeaux from 1990s and 2000, mostly in original wooden case; and Henri Jayer Vosne-Romanée Les Beaumonts 1976 and 1990, Vosne-Romanée Cros Parantoux 1989 purchased from Christie’s “The Private Cellar of Henri Jayer” auction in 2012. Also from Burgundy there is a superb selection of Grand Crus by Armand Rousseau in magnums from 2000s and 2010s; the highly sought-after Leroy Vosne-Romanée 2004 in original case, Leflaive Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier Montrachet from 2000s in original wooden case and also Chassagne Montrachet series from the rising star Lamy-Caillat. Bordeaux is represented by First Growths and the equivalents from the Right Bank spanning 7 decades, which include the legendary 1947 Cheval Blanc, 1961 La Mission-Haut-Brion and other top Bordeaux from 1980s to 2000s available in cases. A magnificent collection of Champagne is also on offer, such as Krug 1996 and Salon 2002 in original cases.
Last but not least, this sale also presents a magnificent collection of Scotch and Japanese whiskies such as Hibiki, Karuizawa and Yamazaki; highlights from The Macallan are The Macallan James Bond 60th Anniversary Complete Collection with Globe Trotter Suitcase and The Macallan 1947 Fine & Rare 15 Year Old.
