The FIRST OPEN | Shanghai sale encompasses over 80 dynamic works convening a broad range of subject matters, styles and mediums.
The highlight of the sale is a group of abstract works by leading artists such as Zao Wou-Ki and Wu Dayu. The sale also features a strong line-up of contemporary Chinese artists such as Yang Fudong, Wang Guangle, Xu Hualing across a range of mediums. From the wider Asia region, key 20th century Vietnamese artists are also represented, in addition to pieces by world renowned Japanese artists Yoshitomo Nara and Yayoi Kusama.
This season will also see the return of The Contemporary Scholar’s Studio. This curated section features 36 pieces from contemporary design, literati ink, Chinese furniture to scholarly ornaments, embodying the timeless and transcendent essence of a scholar’s studio.
