Christie’s is honoured to present François-Xavier Lalanne, Sculpteur | Collection Dorothée Lalanne, which comprises 70 exceptional works by her father, the paradigm-shifting French sculptor François-Xavier Lalanne (1927–2008). The creations of François-Xavier whether ‘Lapin à Vent de Tourtour’ or ‘Très Grand Ours’, both included in the October sale, manifest in their clearly articulated forms the rigour of his vision for an imaginary world. A special exhibition of this collection, featuring scenography by Simon Porte Jacquemus, is open to the public from 4 to 10 October at our Rockefeller Center galleries.
