Le cabinet de curiosités de Jacques et Galila Hollander

On 16 October, Christie’s will present around 500 lots that illustrate the passion of a couple of connoisseurs who were always looking for the object that would satisfy their tireless curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Old Master paintings and drawings, virtuously sculpted masterpieces in rock crystal and ivory, marble and bronze pieces from Antiquity to now, from all five continents; their eclectic and spontaneous collection naturally took the form of a curiosity cabinet. A page is turned with the sale of this cabinet of curiosities, which was left intact after the death of Jacques in 2004, and a new adventure starts for Galila: one of contemporary art.
