Modern | British & Irish Art

Sale Overview
Christie’s latest Modern British and Irish Art mid-season auction features works by some of the leading British artists from the 20th century. From Grayson Perry’s intricately crafted and confrontational ceramic work, to sensitive sculptures showcasing Henry Moore’s most celebrated themes, the paintings, sculptures and drawings assembled convey the complexity and breadth of British and Irish art from 1900 to now. Further highlights include an intimate portrait by David Hockney of his close friend and muse, Gregory Evans; a panoramic masterpiece by Helen Bradley, bustling with dynamism and detail; an impressive collection of Graham Sutherlands from an important Private Italian collection spanning over forty years of Sutherland’s output; and works from the collection of the late Leonard and Roxanne Rosoman.
Works will be on view at our London King Street galleries from 5th to 8th April.
