100 Years of Creativity: A Century of Bookmaking at Phaidon will be on view at Christie’s London from 15 to 18 October 2023, alongside the pre-sale exhibition of our upcoming Modern British and Irish Art auctions. In celebration of the iconic illustrated publisher’s centenary, the exhibition will bring together over 200 of the most influential Phaidon books published from the 1920s to the present day.

Since its founding in 1923, Phaidon has been at the forefront of the creative arts, inventing the accessible large-format illustrated artist monograph, and publishing groundbreaking and award-winning books in collaboration with the world’s most influential creators and brands. The exhibition will include books by today’s most influential creators and brands, including Rihanna, Grace Coddington, Mickalene Thomas, Massimo Bottura, Paul Smith and Nike, alongside rarely viewed titles from the Phaidon archive.
