(Repairs to 5 plates or maps and about 20 leaves of text, some browning, occasionally heavy.) Contemporary calf, tooled in blind (rebacked, later endpapers).
FIRST EDITION. Kircher divided his work into three parts: the first on things as they were before the flood, the second on the flood and the construction of the Ark (including a charming folding plate showing the interior layout of the Ark with the position of the animals and their cages), the third on Noah's life after the flood, ending with his death (aged 950) in 2047 B.C.
