A pearlware 'Drunken Parson' Toby-jug
Circa 1830
Typically modelled and decorated in overglaze enamels, seated trying to pour ale from a baluster jug into a goblet, with warty face, black tricorn hat, full-bottomed wig, and black frock-coat, waistcoat, breeches and shoes, his chair and the handle in iron-red, on a brown-line base (chip to hat, flakes to enamels)
