Alvis's last all new model was the 3 litre, launched at the 1950 Geneva Salon and it progressively developed up to the abandonment by the company of private-car production in 1967. For the last eleven years bodies were styled by the Swiss coachbuilder, Graber, with production coachwork entrusted to Park Ward. As perhaps the last of the traditional thoroughbred luxury cars, Alvis T series enjoy a loyal following. Just 1,067 chassis of the TD21 were built between 1959 and 1962.

This 1961 example was purchased by the present owner's father as a new car in that year; the car has standard two-door saloon coachwork which would benefit from some attention as the car has not been used much in recent years. We are told that it had some chassis repairs in July 1990, whilst the mileage now showing is 60,580; the speedometer was replaced at 15,000 miles, thereby making a total mileage of 75,580 in all. The interior has grey leather seating with complementary carpeting and door trim and the walnut dash surround and instrumentation all appear to be in good condition. A radio is fitted and the car has automatic transmission.

These period British motor cars are still regarded as fine gentlemens carriages and the one ownership history makes this example particularly interesting.
