Maker's mark of Wang Hing, late 19th century
Oval, on four openwork bamboo tree supports, the center with oval reserve engraved with monogram and Sassoon crest, the ground engraved with exotic birds amid tall bamboo trees and rocks, on finely stippled ground, the broad border with undulating dragons, with applied bamboo rim and loop handles, length over handles--28in. (72.4cm.), together with a cylindrical, double walled, small Chinese mug, decorated with Chinese war scenes, with dragon handle--138oz.
