This pistol is one of a small number with an identical specification supplied to the United Kingdom circa 1892 for, it is thought, a specific match-target competition. A companion pistol, No. 140873, with the same specification and in remarkably similar condition was sold in these Rooms as Lot 6, 23rd. September 1998
