Types 1:114R, 2:80G. 6- to 11-line initials opening each book in interlocking red and blue, smaller initials alternating in red or blue, red paragraph marks. (Tears in margin of 2 leaves, light dampstain in some extreme lower margins.) Contemporary German blindstamped calf over wooden boards, the sides panelled with multiple fillets, decorated with rolls and small tools, the tools not in Schwenke-Sammlung, brass fore-edge catches preserved on upper cover, brass corner-pieces, leather index tabs, vellum MS quire guards, title lettered on top fore-edge (rebacked). Provenance: early marginal annotations; Thobias Regalius (inscription dated 1625 recording it as a gift from Paulo Sebulino of ?Klatovy, Czechoslovakia, scribe to Christopher Chanowski, on flyleaf); V.P. (inscription at end dated 1828).
