A fine Italian violin by Andrea Guarneri labelled Andreas Guarnerius Cremonæ sub/titulo Sanctæ Teresiæ 1677; the two-piece back of medium curl, the ribs of smaller figure, the scroll probably of a later date, the table of medium grain, the varnish of a golden brown colour, the length of back 13.15/16in. (35.4cm), in double case with bow
