With rebrowned twist barrels with indistinct signature on the rib, engraved patent breeches each with platinum plug, long scroll engraved tang, signed back-action locks each engraved with dogs flushing birds in landscapes, figured walnut half-stock, rechequered grip and fore-end (the latter repaired), engraved iron mounts, silver escutcheon, and brass-tipped ramrod: in associated relined and refitted mahogany case with a powder-flask and a shot-flask, the lid with James Woodward & Sons trade label, Birmingham proof marks
