A 1960s Coral Sitar
in red and black crackle finish, asymmetrical body with swept back cutaways and contour horn, mahogany neck, twenty-one fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays, three 'lipstick tube' cylindrical-shaped pickups, six rotary controls, thirteen resonating strings set across two bridges with tuning pegs, wooden bridge, plexiglass armrest-plate and pickguard with black printed lettering Vincent Bell, Signature Design Electric Sitar; and a brown tolex rectangular hardshell case with yellow plush lining and Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label Coral Sitar N.S.N. and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed
Eric Clapton said that he has "..Experimented with this sitar.." and that it has "..a great sound.". He also remarked that he finds it difficult to part with this instrument. Lee Dickson recalls that Pete Townshend borrowed this guitar from Eric for a couple of years.
