Serial No. A25591, Factory Order U7131 1, in sunburst finish, with gold-plated metal parts, thinline maple body with single round cutaway, spruce top with bound f-holes, maple neck, twenty-two fret bound ebony fingerboard with block inlays, headstock face with flowerpot motif inlay, two Alnico pickups, four rotary controls, selector switch, metal bridge, metal tailpiece and bound imitation tortoise-shell pickguard; and a brown hardshell contour case with pink plush lining and Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label Gibson Byrdland '57 Sunburst Alnicos Ser A25591 and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed

The Gibson Byrdland was introduced in 1955.

Eric Clapton said that he got this guitar in Texas and used it for rehearsing. Lee Dickson recalled that it was a spare slide guitar on the 1994-5 Blues Tour.
