Serial No. A10586, Factory Order No. 7613 2, in sunburst finish, with gold-plated metal parts, maple body with round cutaway, spruce top with bound f-holes, maple neck, twenty-fret bound ebony fingerboard with split block inlays, headstock face with split diamond inlay, wooden bridge, metal tailpiece and bound imitation tortoise-shell pickguard; and a brown hardshell contour case with pink plush lining and Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label Gibson Super 400 c '52 Sunburst. Ser A.10586 and paper adhesive label similarly inscribed; the case containing a printed set list Clapton/Cocker Set '93 featuring eleven songs for Eric including Badge, Wonderful Tonight, Tears In Heaven, Cocaine, Crossroads and Layla and five Joe Cocker titles

The Super 400 with a cutaway was introduced in c.1939.

Eric Clapton found the size of this guitar made it hard for him to play it. He said "I'm too small for that guitar".
