Serial No. V025603, in a custom '7-Up' green metallic finish, maple neck and skunk stripe routing, twenty-two fret fingerboard with dot inlays, three Fender Lace Sensor pickups, three rotary controls, selector switch, additional active/passive switch, tremolo bridge/tailblock, white pickguard; and a tweed rectangular hardshell case and Lee Dickson's handwritten tie-on label 7Up E.C. Strat V025603 and adhesive paper label similarly inscribed
Fender supplied this guitar to Eric Clapton in 1987.
Eric Clapton said that he frequently used this guitar and its partner in lot 64. He thinks this colour is "great". He calls it '7-Up' green after the colour on the fizzy-drink can of the same name. Clapton commissioned the custom paintwork on this guitar and on that in lot 64.
