[NOBBES, Robert.] The Compleat Troller; or, The Art of Trolling, London: by T. James for Tho. Helder, 1682 [but 1772 or slightly earlier ?]. Small 8, 2 woodcut illustrations, 18th-century calf with raised bands and red morocco lettering-piece (corners rubbed, lower joint slightly split). Provenance: Richard Lowe of Lincoln's Inn, 1772 (ownership inscription on front free endpaper, repeated with date on A6 verso, bookplate). That the ownership inscription of this reprint should be dated 1772 is of particular interest, since the date of publication has been traditionally regarded as circa 1790, following the Westwood citation.
