Clochards on the Seine, Paris

The Gyula Hlasz credit stamp on the verso of this print, is believed to have been used by Brassa between 1931-33. In 1932 Hlasz adopted the name Brassa as a reference to his birthplace, Brasso, Transylvania. This early credit stamp helps to confirm the printing date of this particular example from his 1930s Paris work.
