BLADE PERSIAN 17TH CENTURY, MOUNTS OMAN, LATE 19TH CENTURY
The single edged watered steel blade curving and tapering to the point, engraved on one side with an attribution cartouche to Asadullah Isfahani, the ivory faced hilt with repoussé gold quillons and upper finial worked with floral designs, a band of plaited gold wire at the top of the quillons, the leather covered wooden sheath with two suspension loops and a chape all in repoussé gold with floral panels, blade with very slight corrosion, scabbard leather renewed
