Engraved additional title, etched map of the River Brenta, and 48 etched views only by and after Costa (the plates mounted on paper guards, lacking the letterpress title and privilege leaf.) Contemporary calf-backed, spot-marbled boards (worn). Provenance: 'Sono carte in tutto 59' (note on rear pastedown).
Costa's work appeared in 2 volumes with letterpress title and privilege leaf, an engraved title to each volume, 2 maps of the Brenta and 136 views. The present volume contains the engraved title to volume I, one map of the Brenta, and 48 views only carefully-numbered in pen-and-ink up to 59 (numbers 14, 15, 46-48, and 54-57 are missing from the sequence, while numbers 1-2 are accounted for by the title and map).
