A pair of "Ruby Slippers", made for Judy Garland in the 1939 M.G.M film The Wizard of Oz. Spool-heeled shoes of red silk faille, overlaid with hand-sequined georgette, flat-jeweled bows applied at the toes, the soles painted red with red-orange felt affixed, the white kid leather lining stamped "6B E 58 68", the handwritten word "double", and a cloth label sewn to the inner sole of the right shoe reading "Innes Shoe Co., Los Angeles, Hollywood Pasedena.".
