Lot Essay

Cardinal Perandi was a Frenchman sent as ambassador to Rome by the Emperor Maximilian and created Cardinal by Alexander VI (Pope 1492-1503). Perandi was noteable for his efforts to raise one of the last crusades to unite Europe against the Turks.
