A PAIR OF GERMAN SILVER-GILT BEAKERS (setzbecher)
Bearing marks for Christophe Lindenberger, Nuremberg, circa 1580, possibly 19th Century
Each on spreading base cast and chased with moresque ornament, the short stem chased with band of ovals and bars, the lower part of the bowl with engraved scroll, foliage and strapwork panels, the upper part cast and chased with broad band of scrolling foliage moresques on matted ground, with moulded border, marked underneath bowls
