A RARE CONFEDERATE CAVALRY SABRE BY NASHVILLE PLOW WORKS ABOUT 1862
The classic pattern curved blade with fuller extending through ricasso, mounted with cast brass hilt bearing the block letters CSA and NASHVILLE PLOW WORKS on a stippled-type field, the guard enclosing a leather grip bound by twisted copper wire, the iron sheath with brazed lap joint, brass drag and ring mounts.
35 inch blade
Light gray patina to blade, losses to leather, sheath with dark patina and staining.
