Three Gorgets of Late 18th Century style, relating to the 5th Foot
A silver gorget (not hallmarked), engraved with St. George and Dragon, numeral V and scroll inscribed QUO FATA VOCANT (as Denis
Wood: The Fifth Fusiliers and Its Badges, Fig 4); another gorget,
also unhallmarked silver, engraved with similar decoration (as
ibid, Fig 1), GR and Trophies on the horns (dented and with small
split); and a silver stepped gorget, also in unmarked silver, and with similar engraved decoration (ibid, Fig 5) (all items probably late 19th Century reproductions). (3)
