A Gentleman's post-WWI Court Dress uniform of the King's Bodyguard for Scotland, as follows: dark-green coatee with green velvet facings, gold Thistle embroidery on collar, cuffs and slashes, fine gilt buttons mounted with the Star of the Thistle; companion trousers with 1¾in. stripes of gold Thistle lace; a white leather shoulder-belt with integral sword-frog, bearing a rectangular frosted gilt plate, mounted with devices of the Bodyguard, also in gilt metal; and a bicorne hat, in near relic condition, the ends apparently shortened, but retaining its massive star-loop and tassels, both in gold embroidery (coatee and trousers both somewhat faded).
