A 33cm. diameter terrestrial library globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores, the equatorial and Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the ecliptic not shown, the oceans showing warm and cold ocean currents, the extent of polar ice, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure, Zeppelin and flying boat routes and submarine telegraph cables, the continents with nation states shaded yellow and green and with numerous details including towns and cities of various sizes, rivers, mountains, tundra, railway lines, telegraph lines, caravean routes, the Great Wall of China, German colonies, and areas of production for steel, coal, aluminium, platinum, diamonds saltpetre, wool and other produce (old discolourations and marks, split to equator) with a modern brass meridian circle, graduated in four quadrants, the mahogany horizon with hand-coloured modern reproduction paper ring graduated in days and degrees, raised on four graduated brass quadrant supports to an elegant rosewood stand, the turned column with leaf decoration, with three inswept legs similarly carved, terminating in scroll feet
