AN INDO-PORTUGESE BONE-INLAID HARDWOOD CABINET
Late 19th/Early 20th Century
The rectangular torus-molded cornice with outset corners above a panelled foliate-decorated frieze and a pair of glazed doors with scrolled foliate decoration, enclosing three shelves, flanked by ring-and-baluster-turned columns with pilaster capitals, each side with potted tree within a scrolling foliate surround, the lower section with quarter circle molded top edge, above two short drawers and three long drawers each centered by an oval scrolled foliate-decorated reserve with an oval or ogee cartouche, the spandrels similarly-decorated, flanked by ring-and-baluster-turned columns, on bun feet
