Taisho Period (early 20th Century), with signature Osaka ju Gassan Sadakatsu kinsaku [Gassan Sadakatsu (1869-1943)] and with kao [cursive monogram] and inscribed Minatogawa juya Goshimpo Ontachi Yoyetsu
The blade hirazukuri, forging pattern ayasugihada, tempered edge suguha with kikusui (floating chrysanthemums) carved in the omote, the ura carved with the characters chu ko ("loyalty" and "filial piety"), tang ubu with one hole, habaki silver

In shirasaya (wood storage scabbard)
With N.B.T.H.K. hozon certificate no. 332382, dated 1993.7.13 and box from the Minatogawa Shrine inscribed on the underside of the lid Minatogawa jinja goshinpo no yotetsu o motte kore o saku (made from iron belonging to the Minatogawa Shrine) and Showa hachinen ichigatsu juyokka (1933.1.14) and sealed Minatogawa jinja
Also with a document signed and sealed by Masayuki Fujimaki, head priest of Minatogawa Shrine, stating that this dagger was made by Gassan Sadakatsu for Kuniie So from a piece of the same ingot of iron used to make an important sword belonging to the Minatogawa Shrine
