circa 12th century
The tryptich consists of Manjushri flanked by Vajrasattva on his left and Maitreya on his right, all three standing on a raised rectangular pedestal with flaming lobed aureol, Manjushri holding sword and lotus stem supporting the manuscript, Vajrasattva vajra and ghanta and Maitreya the kundika, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, their partly cold-gilded faces with almond-shaped eyes, aquiline noses, smiling lips, elongated earlobes, one-leaf tiara and high chignon
