A Very Fine Cased 25-Bore Five-Shot Percussion Pepperbox Revolver

With case-hardened fluted barrel block numbered from '1' to '5' and engraved with foliage at the muzzles, case-hardened action and bar-hammer each finely engraved with scrollwork on a hatched ground, the former signed 'Westley Richards London' in a ribbon on one side and engraved 'Improved Revolving Pistol' on the other, blued safety-catch, figured walnut butt elaborately carved in relief with scrolling foliage and flowers, silver escutcheon, blued trigger-guard and case-hardened pommel engraved en suite with the action, the latter incorporating a butt-trap with engraved hinged cover, and nearly all its original finish: in original lined and fitted oak case with accessories including three-way flask and blued bullet mould/ramrod, the lid with trade label and flush-fitting carrying handle, Birmingham proof marks
