The circular nephrite frame with rose-diamond ribbon cresting, centred by a cabochon ruby, with a simulated suspension bar to the seed-pearl bezel, entwined by laurel sprays, the white enamel dial with black arabic chapter and pierced gold hands, silver scroll strut, fully marked, in original fitted wooden case, the cover stamped in Russian 'Fabergé St. Petersburg Moscow Odessa' with Imperial warrant

Lot Essay

Captain Jones was presented with this clock by Tsar Nicholas II in recognition of his services in the rescue of two Russian seamen during the Russo-Japanese war of 1904-1905.
