Mei: Muneie, Edo period (18th century)
The blade of hira-sankaku form with suguha hamon, 12.2 cm; in a black lacquer pole decorated with stylised snowflakes and tendrils, the upper part of ridged nashiji with shakudo nanako fittings inlaid with gilt kiku and kiri mon, the nashiji saya decorated with kiku in gold lacquer, with a kojiri of white metal, 113cm, 19th century
