PROPERTY FROM THE PERSONAL BELONGINGS OF RALPH MCQUARRIE Ralph McQuarrie served as the concept artist for George Lucas and Lucasfilms during the production phases of the hugely successful "Star Wars" trilogy. Not only was he responsible for creating the look of the characters, costumes, vehicles and props related to the three films, he was also instrumental in implementing the set designs and advertising campaigns. Additionally, Mr. McQuarrie co-authored the book "The Illustrated Star Wars Universe" which is the most extensive publication to date about the artwork from "Star Wars." Christie's is proud to offer a few of Mr. McQuarrie's original drawings from arguably the most popular film trilogy ever made.
