Lot Essay

The work of Archizoom Associati, the Florentine radical-design collaborative, is characterised by a corrosive humour aginst the perceived excesses of the modern consumer society. Through arichtectural immobility, and overt allusions to American kitsch design, the "Safari" challenges the participant's preconception of accepted form and purpose.
