A sensational haute couture sleeveless cocktail dress from Yves Saint Laurent's African inspired collection, Spring, 1967, the bodice and skirt made up of bands of imitation mother-of-pearl shells, imitation coral drops and beads and orange vermicelli sequins, the open peep-through midriff strung with a beadwork lattice of imitation coral, wood and metal vari-shaped beads, the skirt terminating in a deep fringe of copper-coloured raffia, with Yves Saint Laurent, Paris printed label numbered 15122
