American, probably 19th century
The square form painted on one side with a red, yellow, orange, blue, white, and green cruciform playing board for parchese offset at each corner by white squares edged in black and each centering a red, blue, green or gold circle; and on verso with a central field of alternating black and gold squares edged in dark pink and enclosed in a conforming black-painted surround with gold edging, now enclosed in a conforming wood double-glazed frame
