A Collection of Lace, Badges etc from a Victorian Royal Engineer Officer's uniform
A set of embellishments removed from the Full Dress uniform of a Colonel, including two pairs of shoulder-cords bearing badges of rank in silver embroidery; two pairs of embroidered Grenades (one gold, one silver); an embroidered Field Cap badge; a gold cord sword-knot, three very fine large embroidered Bath stars, probably from a saddlecloth; two bands of wide Staff lace, probably from forage-caps; a single stripe of the same lace from Full Dress trousers; and a quantity of one-inch gold Staff lace, apparently from a mess jacket (not of RE pattern)
