Circa 1820, iron-red Spode mark, pattern no. 967
Formed as a gilt eagle above a globe resting on a triangula integral scroll-footed base, three open-mouthe dolphins as pen holders extending along each angle to just below the globe, an egg-form inkwell in the center of one side below the bird's head, the globe as a map of the world noting various locations including 'Owyhee where Captn Cook was killed'
