A PETER PAN ANECDOTE: 'the Peter story I like best is one of some children who have a very precious nurse, and they won't go to sleep now till she barks at them'.
The allusion is to Nana in Peter Pan. The play was first produced in 1904; a story, Peter Pan in Kensington Gardens, followed in 1906.
