This model was used in Thunderbirds comics produced between 1991 and 1993. It was also used on video sleeves, trading cards and other ITC publicity worldwide.

Details
A modern replica model of 'Thunderbird 2' of large size
built by Martin Bower, the main fuselage constructed of fibreglass with wooden wing and tail sections, plastic rocket detailing and clear plastic front observation ports, on four legs, the 'Thunderbird 6' pod constructed of resin, with wooden rollers, the hinged door opening to reveal detailed interior modelled in plastic, fitted with electric lighting, the whole painted in shaded green, with yellow banding and red rocket housing, with 'International Rescue' vehicle, based on Siku skiing piste-clearing tracked vehicle --89cm. long (E, a few marks to inside of pod loading bay)

Sale room notice
The main body of the model is carved in Jelutong wood and fibreglass. The tailplane is fabricated from Perspex and the pod is moulded in fibreglass. The rollers are turned from solid Perspex.
