SEAN YOUNG COAT FROM "BLADE RUNNER"
Warner Bros., 1982
A beautifully detailed coat worn by Sean Young as she portrayed Rachael, the unknowing replicant, in the scene when she first visits Harrison Ford in his apartment. Designed by Charles Knode who won a BAFTA Award (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) for Best Costume Design for "Blade Runner," this piece is made of various types of blue brocade fabric with brownish, faux-fur trim and has an elaborate oversized, stand-up, faux-fur collar. Additionally, the sleeves are open on the inner arm and have two tiers of belled, faux-fur trim. A handwritten letter of authenticity from Charles Knode accompanies this coat as do five digital images showing Young wearing it in the film.
