Further details
Ryder-31 is presumably a Machin's Mills product, struck from an obverse die intended for counterfeit British halfpenny production, and a reverse die intended for Vermont copper coinage. The reverse of Ryder-31 is typically weak, and grading is almost always on the obverse condition. The specimen offered here is an exception to that rule, however, as the reverse, if graded by itself, would also grade extremely fine.
