A GEORGE II SILVER COFFEE POT
Maker's mark of John Swift, London, 1759
Tapering cylindrical with tucked in base, on spreading foot, the vacant oval cartouche within engraved foliate scroll, trelliswork and floral surround, with partly fluted scroll spout, wood scroll handle, the hinged molded low domed cover topped by fluted acorn finial, underside with scratch weight 23=5--9¾in. (24.7cm.) high, gross weight 23oz.
